Airtime 2.5.2.1 on Debian Jessie 8.2 x64: Couldn't establish a connection to the database!
The only posts about 2.5.2.1 that I found are from people that can't get it running because of problems. Sourcefabric said they had some fixes in the work, but I haven't seen any updates. If you look at their GitHub, it's pretty much …

Moving a show with content in 2.5.1 does not move the content!
Who would schedule a 5 minute show? That makes no sense. There are lots of problems with Airtime; your issue is barely scratching the surface of the bugs and problems this software has. More important things need to be addressed first, but consideri…

We tried installing Airtime 2.5.2.1 on Jesse, and it was a complete disaster. No matter what we tried, the Liquidsoap service wouldn't start. The SSL certificate for web access also isn't installed for whatever reason, as it is with 2.5.1.…

Are you on a 32-bit server? There is a bug in Liquidsoap that looks like it will never be fixed that causes this issue.

Thanks, but what I'm asking is how Airtime 2.5.1 functions when running "apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade" to upgrade the operating system to Jesse. Has anyone done this?

Will upgrading to Debian 8 mess up an existing 2.5.1 install on Debian 7.8? There have been so many issues lately with versions after 2.5.1 that I'm afraid to make any changes from what I know what works. The fact that Debian 8 uses systemd mak…

Is there any more feedback on this? The two people who tried this version both had problems, so for now I'm sticking with 2.5.1.

airtime 251 to 252 update problem?
It's not a bug, it's that 2.5.2 isn't even in the repo. "apt-get upgrade" keeps packages and installs new ones. Why would you want that? You should use "apt-get dist-upgrade" unless you have a particular reason to …

Airtime 2.5.2 fresh install on Debian 7.8 airtime-liquidsoap service fails to start
You didn't specify 32 or 64-bit Debian. Also if you were to look at other threads, you would find that there's an entire thread devoted to a discussion regarding Airtime 2.5.2. I, personally, was unable to get Airtime 2.5.2 running properl…

I did a fresh install of the Airtime 2.5.2 package containing the locale fix on a brand new installation of Debian Wheezy with nothing else on the machine. The apache2 vhost file isn't copied to the Apache2 folder, so I had to manually add one.…

I want Airtime to exceed the EU Standard - and work well anywhere - for FM Radio/Webradio/DAB
Airtime is one big Kludge -- it's full of bugs, poor install/uninstall scripts, poor documentation, relies on poorly coded FOSS software (like Liquid Soap), unoptimized, slow as molasses, has idiotic implementation ideas and is very limiting, a…

I probably should have done 'apt-get purge' and 'apt-get autoremove --purge'. I wonder if that would have made things easier. Like I said, I'm not that used to Debian & Aptitude.

I went to some great lengths and got 2.5.2 up and running (again), since going back to 2.5.1 after installing 2.5.2 seems practically impossible. I made sure all the stuff I could find was deleted (manually) including the file that Albert wrote abou…

Ended doing a: 'cat > apache.vhost.tpl' in the folder and autoremove went through its process, yet a bunch of rabbitmq errors showed up when the airtime-status-check came up. Not sure why, as it's already installed.

Also now after installing 2.5.2, accessing Airtime is done via http instead of https. Why would have it wiped the certificate out or changed that default? How can I re-enable https?

Nothing that looks abnormal in there. Why wouldn't the three services I wrote about above be starting by default upon a reboot? These are all found in /etc/init: airtime-liquidsoap.conf airtime-media-monitor.conf airtime-playout.conf

Alright, so I created an empty folder and stuck it in a directory, then added that in the Media Folders GUI and it uninstalled. So obviously that's a bug; it shouldn't matter if the folder is '/' or whatever else.
