Airtime 2.5.2 Discussion
I tried going back to Airtime 2.5.1 and now we've been getting tons of errors, because 2.5.2 failed. I was able to get around the locale loop but after doing so, the install was still broken. And I had someone else working on it at the same tim…

Serious Bug: Airtime Goes Silent
Wow, the last activity on that bug was in May of 2014 and obviously it still exists, yet they can't reproduce it? I can reproduce it very easily and it sounds like you can too. We are using a 32-bit server also, and plan on upgrading to a 64-bi…

Cannot logon to new installation of Airtime on Debian Wheezy - General help needed as well.
I've run into this issue before; you may have also noticed an invalid captcha field error which I have gotten on a new Airtime server setup. Here is the command to reset the login attempts: sudo -u postgres psql airtimeairtime=# UPDATE cc_subj…

Serious Bug: Airtime Goes Silent
Thanks for your answer. The thing is, is that if we had corrupted files in our library the problem would surface during scheduled playback, which only happened after setting an input stream up. As long as no DJ connects, the problem doesn't occ…

Airtime for RHEL, CentOS or Fedora
I would also like to see RPM's available for CentOS. Debian isn't the be all and end-all for servers, and the propagation of Airtime would be increased if wasn't just limited to Debian or Ubuntu. Yes, one can try to build packages fro…

I am getting two audio files playing out at the same time.
Same problem here. Also, frequently when adding a song to an already created playlist (and when on air), it will jump back to some random position of the previously played track. Maybe it will be fixed in 2017.

My business is suffering. How is yours?
Voisses Tech -- you are a fool and are disruptive to this forum. You are an Airtime fanboy and if anyone writes about anything wrong with the software, you go on the attack. But that's where the foolishness of yourself comes in: Your English is…

My business is suffering. How is yours?
It's now 2015, and we still have no update. What's happening with the fork idea? Pretty much the only reason we're using Airtime right now is because of cost savings. If we could afford two servers, we would be running SAM or, hell, m…

Any tips on installing SHOUTcast on the Airtime Server
All good advice, but we are a nonprofit station and can't afford having 2 servers, so our website, Shoutcast, and Airtime are all being hosted on the same server. Maybe when we win the lottery we'll separate stuff out.

Any tips on installing SHOUTcast on the Airtime Server
Running a public Shoutcast (or Icecast) server on the same instance as your private Airtime production server is never a good idea. Separating the two is absolutely critical for anyone interested in real security. Can you provide more documentatio…

Airtime Update - September
I think a fork is a good idea; people asked for AutoDJ over 3 years ago and it's still not implemented, not to mention that none of my ideas/suggestions were seriously considered. We got a post a few months ago that said Sourcefabric was going …

I checked the 2.5x branch GitHub and most commits were done months or years ago. Is the project stagnating or am I not seeing something?

AutoDJ+Jingles: Help Needed
Thanks for that info. So it looks like this link would be what I'm looking for: https://github.com/kenrestivo/Airtime/compare/live-metadata Do I have to rebuild Airtime with those packages, or can I just update a few files by replacing them?

AutoDJ+Jingles: Help Needed
By the way, the whole 24 hour "problem" would be eliminated if Airtime devs got rid of the constraints of making everybody fit everything into a 24 hour window. I've written about this before; it makes no sense that there are even &qu…

Smart Block not Populating for Full 24 Hours
Yes, I am. Is there a way around it? I tried following your guide about creating a repeating smart block for a pseudo-auto juke, but I couldn't get it working. I'll try again to see the result, because I forget what exactly happened. All I…

Also, if you happen to input the wrong show time (for whatever reason it doesn't auto set the current time for you when creating a new show) and the current time is past the time you inputted, tough luck! Another stupid idea and "feature&q…

We are also considering switching to solely Liquidsoap. Airtime is so Kludgy and clunky, and their lack of developer input shows that this project is pretty much looking like it'll eventually fall flat on its face, or forked into something else…

So Airtime is full of bugs such as: Audio dropping out randomly and one has to click the scheduled play button to get it back, slowness and high CPU utilization, clunky, has a horrible GUI, smartblocks don't populate for a full 24 hours because…

Easy Tip - Randomizing Repeating Linked-Show Smartblocks. This does work But some dont need it :/
When you say: "Make and save a Smartblock in the normal way", what is the normal way? Dynamic or Static? I tried creating a dynamic and static Smartblock with the criteria: "Length is greater than 00:00:00" and set it to 24 hours…

I don't see much constructive critism here. If you read Bart's history of posts, its just one moan after another and slurring Sourcefabric. Go and look in the Git and see all the work being done before spreading rumours that the project is…
