Live DJ override not cutting off at end of show
Wow thanks for the support. It's great to know that software I've invested over 2 years in is now as useless as a nun's tit with the developers basically ignoring anybody that isn't paying for their hosted version. Poor show gu…

Can't connect to input - Airtime isn't opening the ports
Yep tell me about it... Just installed it on a completely different server and on this one the master port opens, but the show port doesn't, and neither authenticate. So 2.5.2.1 is useless as a live broadcast solution right now then?

End of Life - The Plot thickens - Serious Changes that will soon Affect Airtime
My install of airtime and Rabbitmq brought down a whole stack of VPS' at my webhost a month back. Apparently rabbit went mad with polling and went into a infinite loop. My host wasn't impressed, when I finally got my machine back online th…

Hey Ron, I can't really see how your solution would work in any useful way. If you are having to log in to the control panel to add the newly downloaded file to the directory why not just upload the new file at the same time via the media upl…

Nice one Bart I'll give that a try! :) It is very annoying, especially when you have sometimes 20+ shows in a 24hr period. Takes quite a bit of time to reassign everything. If this works out then the slow db is a small price to pay for the ex…

Add / Remove Content: dynamic recalculation of timing is incorrect
By the way, I don't think re-encoding all your files has to strip all of the the tags. I'm sure (but not 100% positive) that you can re-encode with EyeD3 specifying which tags to change. http://eyed3.nicfit.net I have it set up so every …

Yeah Airtime doesn't deal with VBR very well at all. It will miscalculate the file length of VBR files 99% of the time.

URGENT : Need help to clear the cache
Hi Josh, Thanks I've had a look at that but I wouldn't even know where to start adding a "clear cache every 15 mins" function. That's well beyond my capabilities i'm afraid. If it had already been in there and just nee…

Yes it did exactly as you said, but only does it after it has played dead air for a show. So.... 1) I delete the cache 10 mins before a show is due to start. 2) 10 mins later the shows starts - no audio file 3) The cache gets re-populated and th…

That would be great Thorsten! Will it happen though? @John, I've never understood how those github forks work. I've tried a few times, with various bits of software, but I just can't get my head around what I should be doing.

Also, why on Earth does airtime need to cache files so far in advance anyway? Surely it could just grab them say 10 minutes before they are due to play? I read somewhere that it caches them 24hrs before they are due to play? That is just insane...

No John I don't get my mp3's in via FTP or sFTP. They are all being downloaded and moved into a watched folder via cron jobs. Why does this make a difference though? What's difference, as far as airtime is concerned, doing it your w…
