Unidentified Problem
  • Hi all, since upgrading from the last version to Airtime 2.3.1, The server for some odd reason stays connected but doesn't play any sound. If I do a sudo invoke-rc.d airtime-liquidsoap restart it starts playing as normal. There doesn't seem to occur in the late evening to early hours of the morning. So for e.g. I had to restart a few minutes ago and early this morning around 630am. I have a modified ls script, which plays throughout the day and 3 slots of 5 minute news programmes on schedule.

I'm not sure if any of this will help but this is what the ls_script.log contains before I restart...

  • Hi,

We have another user reporting the same issue with SHOUTcast. There is quite a lengthy thread here: http://forum.sourcefabric.org/discussion/15111/airtime-audio-fails-daily/p1

Perhaps you could help us get to the bottom of this problem.

  • Sure, as I mentioned in that thread, it would be very helpful if you could switch to using Icecast exclusively and see if the problem still occurs. It would definitely help us narrow things down.

  • Martin that thread was an issue with icecast not shoutcast, the issue is with Liquidsoap & I'm yet to find a version in the nightly builds that doesn't have some issues.
