I have no idea how to explain this next issue well , as i am not from a english speaking country , but let me give it a try.

I recently starting to notice that when i have sceduled playlist ( i use blocks to create them ) , the content of that list does not start at the preffered time ! All my shows start with the news ( every hour ) , followed by the commercials , then the show. Untill recently , all worked fine at different times , no issues so far , but since a few days there is a delay up to 2'38´´

I am sure its not a server issue as tonight it was showing a delay of 1'19" , and during most morning shows , it seems to be working just fine !

Did someoe notice this as well ?

Airtime is installed on a vps server running on ubuntu 12.04

do you use ntpdate on your server ?
what said the top command ? load average of your vps ?
did you send a lot of music during theses few days ?

I have installed ntpdate now , maybe it helps ! Though i do not expect it to be server related. My station is online for 24 hours a day , so yes i have been sending music quite a lot.

The funny thing that happens is that i see the correct time , but the shows start with a delay of 1 minute & 15 seconds ! The time is displayed correctly but the song keeps on playing even when a show is sceduled to start.

I tried that one already , check the screenshot i have attatched. The server responded by saying : Can't adjust the time of day. Operation not permitted.

Just to inform you: i am logged on as "root"

Guess i will have to contact my provider.

Hi,

when you are root
sudo is not necessary

but I think you are on a vps, with resources in commons with others users...
in this case ntpdate is not available...
try on a real system
