rabbitmq-server fails to install
It's a weird one. If I run essentially what the init script start command does: sudo /usr/sbin/rabbitmq-multi 1 I get the normal sudo password prompt and then another one. After that fails I get Quote:su: Authentication failure…

OK the issue is actually the rabbitmq server is hanging on start-up. Played around with the hosts file as per various posts but still hanging. Any ideas? Jeremy

I went back to America/Toronto and it self-started at the next playlist start and ran 16 minutes before going offline. However I just realized I had inadvertently installed the 1.7_alpha again and not the 1.6.1 so this is probably still the cau…

Could Darkice also be used to send the stream to the remote icecast? This could stream from a Jack server with airtime connected using alsa to jack and whatever else as Jack plugs as well. A local sound card connected to Alsa could still be used f…

Re: Airtime dropping stream one hour into a show
I have not scheduled playlists more than one hour but the shows run 24 hours with repeating 1 hour playlists of the same songs and that is OK. But what did happen was that the playout and interface songs were different. I cloned the latest git la…

Yes, ReplayGain looks quite promising! I'm thinking some stations may use content of various compression ratios between voice and different music styles. Jeremy

Install problem
For the time being, I edited Airtime/pypo/scripts/ls_config.liq and ls_script.liq and then reinstalled Pypo. Airtime/pypo/install/pypo-install.py . Then restarted Icecast2. This got the metadata in Icecast changed. Jeremy
