I would leave ports 80 and 8000 open. Port 80 is for Apache and 8000 is for icecast.

Hey, So I looked into this a little more. Problem is that you have an older version of the widgets :). Please overwrite the js files with the ones from 2.0. These are available in the tarball under the widgets/ directory.

If you are talking about a 5 second delay, than this is OK. Our UI updates itself every few seconds, however the music is already streaming!

Glad you found the solution. Unfortunately if the tag encoding is non UTF-8 and not specified in the MP3, then it is very hard for a computer to guess the correct encoding. Usually an encoding is guessed, which was obviously incorrect in your case.

Airtime 1.9.5 going off air after each track
Please tar + post all the logs from /var/log/airtime, so we can see how many songs were scheduled, how many songs were queued up for play etc.
