Butt tool in Ubuntu 12.04 (Solved)
Solved Okay for occasional or new Linux users like me...I found the easiest way to install butt was to use a repository like ppa:ys/radio-battletoads -- details here: https://launchpad.net/~ys/+archive/radio-battletoads

Maybe I'm better off using an external solution, like a player and butt. Seems like every LS scripting thread has problems. I would have thought they would have solved this in airtime. Looks like a popular request to have a fallback player.

Stream interruption using master source connection 2.2.1
It appears that Butt is breaking connection. Tested it for hours and not a problem, but after update to 2.2.1 this problem seems chronic. Really no one else is having the same problem???

Oh one last thing, probably the wrong thread here. MIXXX doesn't have a mic always on feature, so it's not good for live radio. Any ideas?

Good news it's streaming to Airtime and out-putting as well. But when I disconnect the stream, the source connection indicator remains on. Is this normal?

I restarted BUTT and now it's streaming. However I do not see the indicator on Airtime come on, and when I click on the "X", it says there's no source connected to this input".

Okay changed over to icecast. At least now I am getting a prompt back in BUTT-- "connect: invalid password!"... Checked in Butt client and reset the password in Airtime to the same and still have the same prompt.

I have opened the router port settings, do I have to set the ports of the airtime server too? I thought this was done at the input stream gui settings... This looks so simple, I must be missing something.

Is there a way to get webstream CONTENT to repeat in addition to a scheduled block?

Mine was a brand new install, no previous data...but I had some of the same symptoms as mentioned here, "songs/playlists/smart blocks do not appear".

Did a new install today using debi and I am getting some of the same problems. Looks like there are 2 sets of sys data folders and the uploaded mp3's are not in the proper folders.
