Rivendell audio exporter
We are also working on a script to export to FLAC and use Vorbis Comments so that we can track additional metadata like Record Label. I will be sure to share once we have the rest of the bugs worked out.

Close to implementing Airtime at WDRT!
I can see your point Daniel. I am doing almost everything over a lan (except emergency backup) but the bandwidth could become a major issue for someone working remotely. I agree that this would most likely be the best long term solution. I like the…

Close to implementing Airtime at WDRT!
Thanks Roger... That is the js player that is in the first link in my above post. I originally learned of it from a news announcement on xiph.org last year. This could possibly be implemented within airtime as a solution but I am not familiar enou…

Is your Airtime sluggish with huge library or large amount of scheduled items?
Would love to help... How big is huge? I don't have our entire library ready yet but can probably drop in about 5k tracks. If this would help, can you pm me a google address and I can share the dump via google drive. Todd

Close to implementing Airtime at WDRT!
For the situation at WDRT I could custom compile a browser with flac support, but would need to enable the preview feature for flac files while browsing the library. They currently show a little lock icon and the pop up menu has 'preview' …

Airtime 2.2 RC1 now available
That's interesting Albert... I did a fresh install on a virgin debian VM due to the rabitmq update issue that I reported in the beta thread. I installed one of the nightlies and it gets updated every night when available, via a script that runs…

Guytrance... I noticed this too in the nightlies. If you change the view from all this goes away. Devs... more info... - If "all" or "web streams" type is selected and there are no web streams defined in the settings, "Pr…

Airtime 2.2 Beta1
Hey guys... I have a bug, but it might be an upstream debian issue. Running on debian squeeze, I pulled an update for rabbitmq from the upstream debian repositories the night after installing the beta. This caused the following symptoms: 1) '…

Fwd: RE: Policy on open source AAC encoders and decoders?
And very good reason to use open source codecs like vorbis and flac ;-)

Some suggestions
I guess scheduler codes and tags are interchangeable? We plan on being able to tag files, and then use these tags as selection criteria for generating Smart Playlists. Yes, they can be. I think integrating them as tags is not a bad idea either, as …

Feature request: Volume adjustment slider
Thanks for the info Martin. I am not sure how Rivendell is doing their normalization on input. Perhaps some sort of compressor algorithm, but it doesn't work well, whatever they are doing. Perhaps they just don't allow high enough gain val…

Feature request: Volume adjustment slider
One more advantage to having the levels set on the actual files in the library is if you are sharing the library with Mixxx, as we will, the levels are the same across the board for both playback situations.

Some suggestions
Instead of folders for the non-music items, I highly suggest the use of scheduler codes, as they can be utilized by the smart playlist feature for auto building playlists. See ticket http://dev.sourcefabric.org/browse/CC-4132 Todd

Feature request: Volume adjustment slider
My experience in a production environment would suggest normalizing all tracks, based on peak amplitude, when importing into the library. This is something that was struggled with using rivendell in our case. Rivendell has the ability to set the pla…

Thanks Martin, RC this week, yay! Once work on 2.2 begins, I will write a script to pull it to our in-house repo mirror and do nightly updates on the sandbox. This should let me help with getting timely bug reports to you guys. I would really like t…
