Foolish but Important problem about newscoop system!
  • Essential Host Environment:
    windows2003,Apache2.x,php5.2.x,mysql5.x,zend3.3.x
    result->test ok!
    application: newscoop3.5.x(including campsite)
    result->test fail!
    First of all,I have no anymore complaints for this freeware(I like it very much in fact),Just talk about how my experience is during the usage(also called UI'friend).

    question one: why so many problems after finish the installation?
    "admin" page not found,rewrite can not be used and so on...

    question two: why not give us a whole successful process which from start the installation to final the publication?even existence of the problems is necessary.

    last: so ,Do we need pay for this freeware? even though sounds funny(paradox).

    THE BASIC TROUBLE:::
    index.php/fa/71/0/
    ^--Pre_installation_interface--^
    index.php/fa/72/0/
    ^--Choose sample template--^
    index.php/fa/74/0/
    ^--admin page but nothing happen,it is blank 404 page--^

  • Dear user,

    Newscoop is a free application (see the GPLv3 license). Regarding the issues
    you had installing it please give us more details on what steps did you take
    and what happened.

    hi,

    i just got your videos. now i really understand what you mean by making screencasts in tune with the documentation. this is brilliant. i am watching them right now (while i type).

    if it is ok with you, i will publish them on our vimeo account (and youtube account as well). and then put them up on the screencasts page.

    in order to give you the credit you deserve, it would be nice to put up some information about you, like name and website. if you wish.

    the sound sometimes has some dropouts. this might be because of my ubuntu install. so we will see what they sound like online. if that issue remains, do you have them online somewhere?

    thanks, micz
  • Well if you are that impressed go a head I was only looking for feedback in case I needed to to remake the first one as it is a bit out of sync. I haven't done a lot of screencasting of late a bit rusty need some more practice to get back into it.

    I will do a few more this weekend. Let you know when they are ready ok.

  • Hi,

    when using administration, in version 3.5.0, using language portuguese, when editing articles i do not have the tinyMCE Editor, it just shows the text boxs with the HTML code ....

    In English, french and spanish it works ok!

    Best regards

    Nelson Camacho

  • Hi Nelson,

    I found out that bug this morning, not only with Portuguese but some
    other languages. Just finished fixing so it will go out soon with
    3.5.2. Thanks.
