    just tried setting up newscoop and b
    getting a load of errors I get the same with joomla 1.5. I think it is the configuration of xampp 1.7.4 anyway here are the errors:
    help would be most appreciated.

    change error reporting parameter in the php.ini to error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_STRICT

    still getting one or two errors

    did look all I found was php.ini-pre1.7.2 not sure if this is relevant or
    not

    What I have noticed is if I turn off Development Value: E_ALL | E_STRICT all
    the errors come back but, when I turn it on just left with those three last
    errors. I hope this helps you. Also there is no development version of
    php,ini file (php.ini-development) on the system even though there is in the
    windows version of xampp 1.7.4

    Ubuntu10.10 php.ini settings:

    ; Default Value: E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE
    Development Value: E_ALL | E_STRICT
    ; Production Value: E_ALL & ~E_DEPRECATED

    I can not reproduce the same on my laptop. It's not a newscoop specific warning. It looks like a xampp's php specific problem instead (according google search). My suggestion is downgrade XAMPP to 1.7.0 with php 5.2.8. version.

    The problem is definately xampp1.7.4 just setup newscoop on xampp1.7.3 ok and mowes portable without any problems.
