    The "Article Comments" design is now up here:

    Please review and let me know what you think.

    Also, as part of this project I went through and commented the phorum
    backend API, and I've managed to get those changes back into the
    phorum repository (see forwarded email below).

    Hi Paul,

    How do you envision handling spam messages? Does Phorum have a plugin
    architecture for allowing various methods of controlling comment spam? I
    don't think banning a user is going to be enough to stop comment spam.

    Personally, I absolutely _love_ the Spam Karma 2 plugin for Wordpress,
    which uses a number of criteria for determining whether a comment is
    legitimate or not such as whether the user's browser supports Javascript,
    whether the comment text includes multiple URLs, whether it includes words
    on a blacklist, etc.

    Ideally, we'd be able to just hook up some of these existing plugins to
    our setup. But I don't know how far from reality that is.

    There is a gotcha plugin for phorum. That could weed out a lot of spam.
