    Where does this value get set?

    I've tried putting it in both of these files and neither seemed to change the behavior:

    /opt/superdesk/server/settings.py

    /opt/superdesk/env/src/superdesk-core/superdesk/default_settings.py

    Superdesk continues to show the default content profile, rather than the one defined.

    You can try setting in the UI. Under settings>desks>more options>edit

    in there you can define which template sd uses when fetching content to it.
