I have Superdesk up and running but for some reason it is not ingesting anything. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a port I need to open for this to happen?

Hi Neville,

There is nothing like a port you need to open for this. What kind of ingestion did you setup? RSS? Email? FTP? What about the format? NewsML-G2? NITF? Do you see any errors anywhere?

It was an RSS feed http://www.cnbc.com/id/10000739/device/rss/rss.html. I set it up to run every 5 minutes. It has been 3 days and I have nothing. See attached.

Hi Neville,

I see an issue on the configuration, but it is not your fault :-) The RSS feed does not require a "Feed Parser" because RSS format is assumed. Most likely, that's why the feed source fails. Empty the "Feed Parser" field and you should see the items coming in. Let us know if that does the trick for you.

Wow I would have anticipated a conditional statement on the preceding dropdown that would control such a thing. I have made the adjustment and will watch accordingly. I will keep you posted. Thank you very much.

Mine is set up to run every 5 seconds until I get the feed to work but I'm not getting any errors or anything. I've checked the rss feed in a browser and it looks like valid xml. No parser selected and it's coming from a Joomla! website. What could possibly be wrong?
