Widgets, Track Images
  • I have an airtime server and another server where I host websites. I have an audio track library that has 150x150 jpg images attached to each file, along with metadata (ie artist, track title, album etc). I have used Mp3tag to add this metadata and the jpg images to each file.

I want to display this track info and track image on my website(s) as each track plays. Is this possible ?   I've looked at the widgets info here (https://wiki.sourcefabric.org/display/CC/Frontend+Widgets) but don't understand how the links would work. I have installed airtime-widgets on the airtime server in the etc folder where airtime is also installed.

Also, for LIVE shows (which we use BUTT for) is it possible to attach and image and metadata to each Live show so that it would auto display during show time ?

  • Thanks for links, will check them out.
  • Pushing embedded art along to a web widget would be awesome! ...As long as it didn't publicly expose the running airtime server.
  • Hi Roger -

I infer from your comment that currently you can't display an image for the currently playing track ?

It is easy to display track images with Centovacast but Centova is poor at precise scheduling, something that airtime excels at. Somewhere between the 2 of them there's some excellent radio software waiting to burst out.
