Is it possible to have auto bedding (fallback) music for when nothing is scheduled?
  • On our station we have a combination of live shows (DJs connecting in to our radio server and broadcasting from their studios) to broadcasting pre-recorded shows (DJs send in a 2 hour show ahead of their slot and we schedule that), filler drone/downbeat music playlists, and show archives playlists.

Both the playlists are generated with a smart playlist.

Is it possible to have auto bedding music, backup music if you will play after a short delay (maybe 3 or 5 seconds) if a live DJ is late/ hasn't shown up, or we've forgotten to fill up one of the playlists for archives or filler music?

Maybe this isn't something that Airtime can do but liquidsoap can? Just an auto play to a specific folder or music file that repeats infinitely until something from Airtime connects/is scheduled.

What we're trying to achieve is a constant output even if a live DJ is late, or we've not filled a playlist up.

Have any of you who run Airtime done a similar thing, if so, how is it done.

    Many thanks.
    Shadow.
