Broadcaster theme: Need to change a parameter named "attachment [params] [external_author]" - Newscoop Support Discussions on Sourcefabric Forum

I'm a newbie so be nice: When I use the "Share > Post to Facebook"
dropdown menu it creates a facebook entry that has the correct name of
Website but it puts in the creator of the template. Can that be changed
and if so where? Currently it shows: BY ALEKSANDER BACKO JELICIC and I
need it to reflect my publisher name instead. When I did an inspect of
item it referred me to this parameter. Where is it found? attachment
[params] [external_author]

Hi Keith, I would take a guess that Facebook is fetching the content of the meta tag 'author' which in Broadcaster defaults to:

<meta name="author" content="Aleksander Baćko Jeličič" />

You can change this setting in the theme file _tpl/_html-head.tpl - I will open a bug ticket, as that value should not be hard-coded.

If you are interested in experimenting with Open Graph tags, you could try using article:author as shown on http://opengraphprotocol.org/

This persistence of the old setting was simply because Facebook had cached your website on the 10th December. You can force it to reload the page share cache by using the debugger:
