if yours files are in yours directories, that could be done,

try this (i've try on my test machine and all working fine (fallback sound and shows)

your problem seems to be not airtime, but perhaps with yours directories
airtime have rights on it ?

All music directories have 755 permissions...

and who is the owner ?
normally must be www-data

these folder are not inside srv/airtime....they are in a completely different place.. :D

that's not the problem, but for a lot of reasons, me, i prefer put all my directories into /srv/airtime/

change the owner of theses directories to www-data (chown command)
but if they are in folders with others rights... that's would be complicated...
try mv command

for example

mv /home/blabla/musics/ /srv/airtime/musics/

Should the files themselves (the mp3's) have 'www' permissions as well?

i've made more test, and that's really working fine for me
try to upgrade your airtime with a new snapshot
don't forget to copy your ls_script before

Sorry i didnt upgrade from last snapshot..it was a different file accidentally....THIS is the output from the latest snapshot (2.10.2012)

that's exactly what i said
move yours directories into /srv/airtime
and after that do an :

cd /srv/airtime/
chown -R www-data:www-data *

i moved chillednights folder to /srv/airtime just to check and changed the location in the .liq...i gave it the correct permissions but still 'rotation' plays..

you have perhaps a dependency problem

and a stupid question, have you do a service airtime-playout restart ?

Yup, i did, but its just restarting scheduling system or something..not the LS...so i use service airtime-liquidsoap restart...
