Blank screen during install - no error reported - Newscoop Support Discussions on Sourcefabric Forum

Hi
Whilst installing Newscoop on my VPN (Centos 6) the pre-install checks are all good, on the screen where I enter the database connections I click next which then returns a blank screen. Checking the datbase in phpMyAdmin I can see that all the tables have been created in the database. On checking the error logs there are no errors reported.
Any ideas?

I've already done that, there are no errors reported in the error logs (as stated in both title and text of my post)

ok, done that. same problem. However the most recent error in logs is now:

ERROR 1148 (42000) at line 5: The used command is not allowed with this MySQL version

One of the solution is to set parameter in your mysql daemon: mysqld --local-infile=1

Hope it will help you out.

I believe Mysql configuration file on centos is etc/my.cnf - I've changed the parameter to local-infile=1 and restarted httpd but it hasn't resolved the problem, tried dropping the database, recreating it and attempting to progress the installation beyond database config page but I'm still getting a blank page, and this time no error message. sigh.

We have the same problem.
Ubuntu 14.04
Newscoop 4.2.4 "Vitor"

On Ubuntu 12.04 work OK
Any hints?

I plan to migrate our web portal to new server...
