Trying to add a second output stream - how do I do it?
  • I'm trying to output a second Icecast stream at a lower bitrate - what do I have to do to my /etc/icecast2/icecast.xml file, and what do I have to do to my Airtime settings to make it work? (Yes, I understand that it will be the same content going out on both streams.)

why not using the built-in second stream under Airtime => System => Streams => Stream 2?

just point it wherever you want to or localhost, if you want to use local icecast service.
if you don't want to give a mountpoint a special config, you don't have to manipulate icecast.xml

  • I agree... dont see  the point in messing with config files when airtime nicely puts out up to 3 streams.  I have it streaming to a local icecast as well as a remote ice and remote shoutcast and works a treat!
