Bad install?
  • Hi everybody!

Since it is my first post on this forum, although I'm using Airtime for some months now, I must say Airtime is a wonderful thing, with lots of possibilities, and a very intuitive interface. Congratulations to the dev team, you're doing a GREAT job!

But I actually encounter a big problem... I scheduled songs for several hours, and after some seconds (~15-20 sec) of the beginning of each songs, broadcast stops and red button 'Live' goes to grey. This is not the first time I face this problem, and it used to solve by itself in a couple of hours, but since two days, the problem persists, and our webradio is totally off. I can always broadcast through master source (MIXXX), but you can understand this is not the good solution... :s

The airtime-check-system command definitely says there's a problem somewhere, but I can't figure where...

    Any idea?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Maxime.

Hi Maxime, I notice you are running Airtime on a QEMU virtual machine, that may be related to your issues. Also you have some configurations using the fully qualified domain name and some using localhost - the latter may not work as expected if you have other web services running on the machine.

I would first suggest you check the value of host = in /etc/airtime/api_client.cfg and make sure it matches base_url in  /etc/airtime/airtime.conf

Let us know how you get on!

    Daniel
  • Hi Daniel,

that was the problem, indeed! In fact, even www.trensmissions.ens.fr was incorrect since we used a dedicated IP for the broadcast... I just edited the 'host' and 'base_url' values to the good IP and it solved the problem : " Your installation of Airtime looks OK!"

    Yeeha! :D

Thank you very much for your help!
