[Solved] Installation problem : PostgreSQL PHP extension required and not found
  • Hello.

    I had some troubles with upgrading to PHP 5.4 and so I had to reinstall Airtime. But now I get this problem :

    Cleaning up...
    * Checking for user pypo
    User already exists.
    There was an error during install. Exit code 255

    Then, I've tried this /var/lib/airtime/tmp/install_minimal/airtime-install -d
    and here it is :
    * Checking for user pypo
    User already exists.
    PHP Fatal error:  PostgreSQL PHP extension required and not found. in /var/lib/airtime/tmp/install_minimal/include/AirtimeIni.php on line 19
    There was an error during install. Exit code 255

    I've been looking a lot on forums, but unfortunately, nobody seems to have this problem.

    Any suggestion would be very welcome.

    Sincerely,

    Kahuitel

  • I saw that and reported it. I was told the install works fine. It did not for me - I got exactly the same as you.

    My fix was to install package phppgadmin.

    That fixed all that AND gave me a nice and handy Postgres GUI tool - just like phpMyAdmin is for MySQL

    No longer using Airtime or Libretime.
  • Thank you for your answer John.

    Unfortunately, the problem remains after installing phppgadmin

    Maybe I should purge some packages but I don't know where to begin.

  • Ok, it was actually related to some errors on dependencies on my Ubuntu. I had to reinstall php5 and apache2 from scratch.

    Thank you.
