I'm a newbie when it comes to online streaming and airtime. I've some experience w/ IceCast and LiquidSoap. I'm trying to setup an Internet radio station using Airtime. I will be hosting airtime in the cloud on a Linux VPS (@ DigitalOcean), let's say this is Location A. This will be the main server that listeners will connect to and it will stream local music files. For couple hours throughout the day, I want to stream from location B. Location B is 500 miles away it is not on the same network as Location A. So do I need a second installation of Airtime at Location B? or do I need another piece of software?
Hi Fateh, it depends on what you want to do at location B. You could use Airtime at location B too, but an icecast-client like butt, edcast, mixxx, or similar would also do the job. You can use Master- or Show-Source for this or just schedule a Webstream instead. cheers
