Newscoop upgrade 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 - uhoh!
  • Hi, I have Newscoop installed as a package on an Ubuntu 12.04 server. One of our team performed a safe-upgrade on the server for security fixes and it also upgraded Newscoop to 4.1.2. Upon visiting the site I was prompted with the Install setup walk-through. I provided the site details and database connection info and completed the dialogue, however it failed to register as I appear to have a fresh install.

Was this the intended upgrade routine (the Install page)?

Is there a proper way to re-enable my site versus the fresh install?

  • Is there a quick way to initiate the install setup sequence again? Looking at the config files, everything looks right but I have a sneaking suspicion I'm looking in the wrong place and I may have had a typo in the post-upgrade setup, or something.

copy conf folder to conf.bak and overwrite all newscoop files from newscoop tarball
