"Offline" between songs
  • Just coming back up on-air and during testing tonight I'm having this issue crop up.

As you can see it displays the "Stop and Go Radio - offline" occasionally between songs. It's only a momentary pause when it happens.

    -
Stop and Go Radio - offline
    Mother Falcon - Dirty Summer
Stop and Go Radio - offline
    Griffin House - Fenway
    Matt Costa - Loving You
Joshua James - Queen Of The City
    Escondido - Special Enough

  • I believe this has been fixed in the upcoming Airtime 2.4. If you have a
    chance, check out the beta.

  • I guess we'll have to live with it for now then.

Station is beta enough while we test things :)
  • If you aren't feeling adventurous enough to go beta, just upgrade to liquidsoap 1.1.1 — it solved most of my issues on a production version of airtime 2.3.1. Cheers! :)
  • Cool, I will look at that as soon as we fix one other thing. Thanks!  B-)
  • I'm running 2.4.0 and I'm getting the same thing happening. If there is something I can do to fix it please let me know. I just got my station up 2 days ago.  Thanks!
  • Key to troubleshooting issues like this is to
    1. Give us detail of whether  you did an upgrade or new installation
    2. Give us a minimal log of your airtime system using this command  airtime-check-system
    3. Give a synopsis or short look at you icecast or shoutcast log by tail -f /var/log/icecast2/access.log [pico,vi or nano works too]

If you are running a production system, you could follow my suggestion on building a backup file and a intro file so you can take airtime offline and reinstall

    http://forum.sourcefabric.org/discussion/15678/tips-to-fullfil-and-spice-up-your-airtime-life-dailymonthlyor-whenever-the-pen-fill-with-ink

The reinstallation method I suggest will remove all playlist and library listing but your media files will be intact

My only recommendation is to reinstall airtime using the automated installation you can found that instruction here http://sourcefabric.booktype.pro/airtime-24-for-broadcasters/automated-installation/.

    sudo apt-get remove airtime && apt-get purge airtime && apt-get autoremove

This will remove airtime and its configuration files and once you follow the automated installation let us know if the problem reoccurs
