Need a strategy for streaming news and weather - Airtime Support Discussions on Sourcefabric Forum

I'm using Airtime to set up a station, and we have access to a brief news and weather report that will be updated several times a day, and will rerun a few times each morning. The weather file is being FTP'd into our server, and the news will be as well. I'm not sure the best strategy to schedule and run these two pieces of audio automatically, though. Any suggestions?

Chris -- if I'm following you correctly, the functionality you want probably won't be included in 2.4. Watched folders refresh themselves in the Library, and afaik, even "super" Smart Playlists still need manual intervention.

Roger, is this more likely a "modify the liquidsoap script" sort of fix, do you think?

normally but it's perhaps reported you can put watched folders into shows on the next version

Maybe...? Even with a patch, Airtime itself would more or less be blind to the changes. One step forward, two steps back my friend!

Sounds to me like you want this along with some special sauce.
