  • You could try

    sudo apt-get purge airtime

Or "sudo dpkg -P airtime" if the first doesn't work.

  • Strange, it appears your database isn't running.

    What's the output of

    sudo service postgresql status
    Airtime Pro Hosting: http://airtime.pro
  • Natty is no longer supported by Canonical (no more security updates!) and
therefore we have also dropped support. Please upgrade to 12.04.

thank you for the clarification Martin, when trying to upgrade to 12.04 with:

    sudo apt-get install update-manager-core

I get a : "1 not fully installed or removed." which is airtime, how can I fix that?

What happens when you run "sudo -u postgres psql"

    $ sudo -u postgres psql
    psql (9.1.8)
    Type "help" for help.
  • One more command to try:

sudo netstat -tlnp | grep postgres

This will tell us what port your postgresql server is listening on.

Perhaps also try reinstalling the Airtime package. It's possible the database server wasn't running when you first tried installing it...

it seems that I have both postgres 8.4 and 9.1! any recommendation?
  • I was going to say looks like 8.4 is taking the standard 5432 port.

    What's the output of

    dpkg -l | grep postgres

You should see some 8.4 entries in there and remove them via sudo apt-get purge package-name

  • Sorry,

    sudo apt-get remove package-name

Thank you Martin, all seems well now, but how can I add the old audio files to the library, they are all at /srv/airtime/stor/ and I can add that folder to the "Watched Folder" it says that it has been already added - of course - but non of the files from the previous installation are showing in the library!
