mac mini with ubuntu - Airtime Support Discussions on Sourcefabric Forum

i download a ubuntu compilation for power pc processor whicht it is the CPU of my old mac mini, it is a 1,2 Ghz and 1Gb Ram memory.

i have installed succesfully ubuntu 10.04. But i am wondering if i will have any problem in the future because with Airtime. I want to choice the mac mini to handle with airtime in the mountain and manage it from remote amoung several people. Am i doing right thing?.

What it is the recommend hardware in other case?

Hi,

Currently we are providing liquidsoap pre-compiled for x86 and x86-64 systems.

The binaries we provide won't work on a Power PC architecture. However, if you feel comfortable, you can compile liquidsoap for your architecture yourself. We even have a wiki detailing the steps here:

Once you've compiled the liquidsoap binary, I can give you instructions how to get it working with Airtime Smile

it is enought that i just follow the steps?. thanks.

How do I install airtime after that? Does it just install?

Both Wikis only cover Liquidsoap - not the rest of the install?

Given that Debian PPC is a standard distro I expected Airtime to support it since it was a recommended build...grr.

We don't have any PPC hardware unfortunately. It is an outdated platform :)
