    OK,
    I understand
your liquidsoap version is not compatible

modify your sources.list and add the sourcefabric repository

    do an apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade

    fallow the documentation !

this is because you have made a partial installation.
when you install an application with tar.gz (and not .deb) only few dependencies are needed
but the last version of airtime need a lot of updates
for this reasons verify all theses points :

    http://en.flossmanuals.net/airtime-en-2-2/manual-installation/

a better solution (and simple) if you are not really sure of yours knowledges is this solution :

  • I open a new post as to related to my liquidsoap and as for statement below

Restart your Liquidsoap like this in a terminal
    eg. for debian variant

    sudo service airtime-liquidsoap restart

you might have to do press ctrl-c if you see it lock up saying

    Restarting Liquidsoap.................................

    and its taking too long

but check the logs by  typing also

    sudo pico /var/log/airtime/pypo-liquidsoap/ls_script.log

    and also type

    airtime-check-system

if its apache thats lock up you might also want to run this command

    sudo service airtime-playout restart

as I said before (for the tar.gz install), you must upgrade yours dependencies before, look documentation

otherwise do it with debian packages ( http://en.flossmanuals.net/airtime-en-2-2/automated-installation/ )
  • Hi,
I've followed the documentation step by step, with no luck to bring it back ON Air,

Can you please recheck the last today's logs and give me more details on how to resolve ?

    Thanks
  • Reply to @Karim+Ali:

I took a look at the last log you posted, I'm not sure why Liquidsoap is constantly restarting. Have you made any changes to the Liquidsoap script?

    Then

    sudo service airtime-liquidsoap start
    Airtime Pro Hosting: http://airtime.pro

you hare a problem, that's sure, but we can't help you more
try to reinstall completely your server (backup yours datas before) and follow this documentation :

    http://en.flossmanuals.net/airtime-en-2-2/automated-installation/

    or ask professional help
  • Wow.. !
I remember that about 4 monthes before i got a similar problem, and i asked for help on that forum, I really got some great inputs and instructions from Airtime Support Team members, untill i got the problem solved. another time, i got a problem and Martin Konecny sent me a private message to ask me for the server login details to check the issue himself, and he did solve the issue for me. I was very thankful for him and all the team members at those times of need.

Unfortunately, Now I couldnt receive that kind of great support Any more ! and You simply said you have a problem, that's sure, but we can't help you more. try to install or ask a professional help !

Actually, I was expecting more !!! You didnt even try to investigate the issue further with me !

Anyways Thanks, I should keep saying thank you sourcefabric developers for that wonderful software, Really Thanks :)

    Martin is a great Guy
    I can't talk for him
But airtime is always in hard development and use liquidsoap who is developed by the savonet team
and Martin can't always to be here (we need 2.3 and waiting for 2.4 :)

I've tried to help you, but I can't do more with so little informations
  • You could ask me what more information you need, and i think i would be delivering it immediately because im in a real time of need, but you didnt ask me for more information to say now i cant do more with so little information !!!

    read the previous comments
many issues and solutions you have already been given
airtime is free software, with its community that tries to answer as well as possible (which I am one also)
Team airtime can not respond permanence your requests either an installation that prefigure risky.
sometimes they meet and try to do my best, but the software also requires updates, the evolutions
Unlike a proprietary software you do not have to pay to use this software, but you can if you do not have the skills to ask someone to do it for you
in this case it is normal for a fair compensation to be granted
    otherwise Sourcefabric offers SaaS solutions

we are a lot here to try to help airtime newbies
it's not a good solution to be too impatient or aggressive...

Im trying to solve it myself, Can you please let me know where i can find this file /usr/lib/airtime/pypo/bin/liquidsoap_bin/liquidsoap
As i cant find this folder /liquidsoap_bin/ under  /usr/lib/airtime/pypo/bin/ in this latest Version. Maybe Permissions needs to be set to 0644 to liquidsoap file. as i got same problem before and instructed to do so.
