Hi!

I'm trying to get Newscoop 4.1 installed for testing on a Dreamhost shared account and after the install, it kicks out a 403 error on every file.

I've searched through the forums and have seen the other, similar threads but haven't seen anyone with a solution to this that works on Dreamhost.

Anyone? Beuller?

hi, can u check your root folder permissions? it should be 755

Currently, everything is set at 755 and it's still kicking back the 403 error.

I found a solution to this problem

The cause of the issue is a command set in the .htaccess file located in the root directory of your domain:

Options -Indexes FollowSymLinks -MultiViews

To resolve the issue disable this command by commenting it
