    Hi

After installing airtime 1.8 , my sound card stops working.
The sound output shows as a Dummy Output.
If I uninstall airtime and reboot,my sound card reverts back and starts working again.
Is their a way of installing airtime with the sound card still working, instead of just streaming to icecast?

    Thanks

    Gazza

  • Hi Gary,

Are you installing from the Airtime debian package, or manually installing from a tar file?

    Hi Gary,
What is the O/S that you're using?

Did you execute step 6 of the installation guide?
    (6. Remove PulseAudio (optional if using Airtime for web-streams only))

If you did, try undoing it
    sudo apt-get install pulseaudio

    Hi Garry -
We havent run into this problem before. Are you still having this problem?
What Linux distro are you installing on?

  • This is happening to me too, with a manual install- and I never uninstalled pulseaudio. I only have dummy sound output and Airtime never thinks it's on air. The frustrating is, it was working fine. all i did was reboot, and boom, no audio. What can I check. thanks.
