This is the same process we've used in the past but this time we get nothing Airtime will not come up at all We tried to go back to 2.2.0 and the same issues
I noticed, before I installed 2.2.1, that apt-get was supported so I decided to use that. First I used apt-get update, then apt-get install airtime. It worked flawlessly.
As an aside, before I tried that, I followed the floss manual instructions about using gdebi - mine is a server installation. However, after I installed gdebi it could not locate the airtime archive so I gave up on that method.
Previous to 2.2.1 I always used the method you used starting with wget. This time I did not because apt-get is much more elegant and less prone to weird problems. I don't know if you will be able to recover from the state your machine is in now. It might be best to do a complete uninstall and the a fresh installation. That has worked for me in the past when things have gotten gummed up. Unfortunately, that also means having to re-import all the music and that used to be a very time-consuming activity. For me, at least, it could take over 24 hours to get everything and I now have even more (over 9,000 titles).
