Relay scheduled in version 2.2.0?
  • Is it possible to make the relay with another radio schedule in version 2.2.0?
    Where is this option?
    How to enable this service?

    Does Webstream meet your requirement? You can set another radio's stream as Webstream, then schedule that Webstream into your own show.
    Cloud Radio -> http://airtime.pro

    but copy/paste shows is always not here...
  • OK worked, the connection with the external radio happened on schedule, but no audio. At the time that the radio is relayed no external sound.
    I have to configure some file to have the audio rebroadcast?

    in the library you need to create a webstream (give the adress of your relay) and put it into a show
  • Albert, I did it.
    The connection happened on schedule, but the sound is not reproduced.
    Is muted during the scheduled time.
  • Albert,

    After my Webstream created when I click the "Preview Stream" also not has the audio in the player.

    Simply mutes!

    perhaps the link is not good

    if it is an icecast stream, give the real name, for example :

    http://www.example.org:8000/radio.ogg

    but not

    http://www.example.org:8000/radio.ogg.m3u

    and for shoutcast (but i've never tested it : playlist.pls
  • I was writing the address: http://www.example.org:8000 only.

    To Icecast address http://www.example.org:8000/aitime_128 worked perfectly
    To Shoutcast address http://www.example.org:8000/playlist.pls
    displays the error: In the MIME type is found webstream.
    To Shoutcast address http://www.example.org:8000/
    message displays: Webstream saved.

    But not the radio relay

    Anyone know with shoutcast relay too?

    you can"t have icecast and shoutcast on the same port...
    shoutcast using 2 ports to stream are you on the good one ?
  • I use shoutcast and icecast on different port on my server.
    Icecast: 8000
    Shoutcast 8006

    I want to relay on other radio shoutcast. Ex: http://www.radioxxxx.org:8010

    How to do this? Is it possible? Will Airtime has a bug in that is not allowing relaying.

    If I understand you want relaying airtime stream on an other shoutcast stream
    you can do that, directly with shoutcast 2 (no 1.x)
    you only need to configure the shoutcast receiver to do that
  • I do not want to relay my Airtime on radio shoutcast.
    I do the opposite!

    I want to relay a shoutcast radio on my radio on any Airtime.

    Example: I want retransmistir football game to be broadcast by ABC radio on my radio Aitime.

    ABC Radio = Shoutcast
    My Radio Airtime = (shoutcast and icecast)

    ABC Radio                                                   Airtime
    Shoutcast   >> Football >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Icescast >>> Relay Football >>>>>>>
    Port: 8010                                                    Port: 8000

    ok I understand ;-)
    shoutcast working well with mp3 stream, not aac+ with airtime
    aac+ is a proprietary codec not installed by default on airtime
    you can install it manually (information are available on the wiki) but only if your stream is less important than 64kbs...

  • Just to summarize.
    This all means that it is impossible to relay shoutcast in airtime.
    I can only relay icecast.
    Ok?

    no you don't understand, you say, you want to relay abc radio to airtime.
    I only said that's possible with mp3 shoutcast, not aac+ shoutcast
    abc radio stream with aac+

    ABC Radio                                                   Airtime

    Shoutcast   >> Football >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Icescast >>> Relay Football >>>>>>>

    AAC+                                                          only MP3                                 xxx

  • Albert,

    But that's what I'm having to do.
    I want to relay a Shoutcast MP3 radio. But Airtime not retransmits the radio set in Webstream.
    Although the airtime recognizes the URL Stream (eg http://brhp.net:8002) no retransmission occurs.

    The Airtime is only relaying radio Icecast.
    Make yourself a test!

    Tanks

  • I can manage to preview a shoutcast stream by typing http://stream.example.com:8000/;

    (Add a semicolumn at the end of the url : ";")

    But when it's planned into a show, it does not work (off air mode).

    Please share the URL you are trying to rebroadcast. Airtime should handle Shoutcast streams just fine.
    Airtime Pro Hosting: http://airtime.pro
  • Here is a shoutcast URL I can't manage to relay : http://stream.radiocapsule.com:8000/

    Typing http://stream.radiocapsule.com:8000/; make it available for preview but still not play.

    Thanks for your help. =)

  • Has anyone resolved this issue?

    I can add a webstream and I can hear the webstream when I preview it but when the schedule for said webstream kicks in there is no audio or eve a mountpoint on my icecast server.

    I have tried the ogg, mp3 and shoutcast version of the stream with no luck.

    The stream is http://twit.am/listen

    Thanks.
  • If you don't have a mountpoint on your icecast server, that looks to be the root of your problem. You should always have a mountpoint, even when nothing is scheduled (in this case silence is streaming).
    Airtime Pro Hosting: http://airtime.pro
  • Well the mount point is always there until a schedule with the stream comes on, then the mount point crashes and I get nothing.
  • Martin, you really don't get it. So pay attention while I try to explain this issue to you and in general, please guys, stop filling in the blanks with unrelated suggestions. People are trying hard to explain the issue to you, but we keep seeing out of context remarks while the problem remains.

    So follow me in this procedure:

    1) Library -> New -> Webstream
    2) Add a stream URL. In my case: http://stream1.fralnet.com:8000/;  -- this is WITH the semicolon. It's a shoutcast source with normal mp3 -- no AAC or whatever.
    3) Click save and then preview it. In a new window the airtime preview player comes up and it plays the stream successfully. So this suggests that it all works.
    4) But then you try to add this new webstream from your library into a playlist. Say Airtime contains a playlist with a song from the library, and then the webstream, and then another song. What you hear is song, silence (no relay), song. So something is not relaying, when it should.

    Do you understand what I mean? *Crosses thumbs*

    This has nothing to do with mountpoints. It has to do with RELAYING from somewhere on the Internet to an already existent mountpoint.

    that's working fine for me

    can you send your logs ? (pypo logs)
  • Actually I found the solution, and a better way to do this. So! Let's get started.

    In /etc/icecast2/icecast.xml add a relay:

    <relay>
        <server>stream1.fralnet.com</server>
        <port>8000</port>
        <mount>/</mount>
        <local-mount>/nagradio</local-mount>
        <on-demand>1</on-demand>
        <relay-shoutcast-metadata>1</relay-shoutcast-metadata>
    </relay>

    If you want to hide your relay from the list on your icecast2 page, add:

    <mount>
            <mount-name>/nagradio</mount-name>
            <hidden>1</hidden>
    </mount>

    Now, add this mountpoint in Airtime. Simply add http://127.0.0.1:8000/nagradio as a stream URL and voilà! =D>
  • We receive many forum questions everyday with very incomplete information
    and filling in this information is a must. No where in this thread was it
    mentioned that the mount point only disappears when the stream is scheduled
    to start. That suggests the play out engine Liquidsoap is crashing for some
    streams. We will look into this....

  • http://stream1.fralnet.com:8000/;

    with a semicolon doesn't work on my machine. Taking out the semicolon works.

  • Hi, In Airtime 2.4.1 I also get:

    No MIME type found for webstream.

    for a whole bunch of stations, for instance:

    http://stream-54.shoutcast.com:80/the80s_skyfm_mp3_96kbps

    Network received: 1696221 Bytes
    Server: Ultravox/2.1 SHOUTcast v2.2.0.101[F]/posix(linux x64)
    Content-Type: audio/mpeg
    Ultravox sync: 1169 messages, 0 desyncs
    Ultravox Data Message: 0x7000
    Ultravox SID/AvgBR/MaxBR: 1/96000/96000
    Stream name: 80s, 80s, 80s! - SKY.FM - Hear your classic favorites right here! (www.sky.fm)
    Current title: Olivia Newton-John - Physical

    Works fine in WinAmp

    Its not an Airtime problem but that liquidsoap cannot parse the stream
