[RESOLVED] Problem installing Airtime 2.1.3 / Err sub-process...
  • Hello

    Firstly, after trying them all, I observed that any Ubuntu Server distributions runs fines on my remote VPS (Virtual Private Server).
    I also completed Airtime installation once in the Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid distribution as a test of Automated Installation.
    But now, and whatever the chosen Ubuntu Server distribution, the same issue always appears after ssh Airtime-check-system automated command :

    *** Verifying your system environment, running airtime-check-system ***
    -- There appears to be a problem with your Airtime installation.

    dpkg : erreur de traitement de airtime (--configure) :
     le sous-processus script post-installation installé a retourné une erreur de sortie d'état 1
    Traitement des actions différées (« triggers ») pour « libc-bin »...
    ldconfig deferred processing now taking place
    Traitement des actions différées (« triggers ») pour « python-support »...
    Des erreurs ont été rencontrées pendant l'exécution :
     airtime
    E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

    What should I do to stop this error occurring ?

    The wiki page mentioned above is not helpfull enough to solve the issue.
    May someone please help me ?

    Hi Clovis,
    that's not enough

    can you post here yours airtime logs from
    /var/log/airtime

    and have you follow the manual ?
  • Hi Albert,

    I did follow the "Automated Installation" guide page.
    But while you were replying the above, I gave it another try a different way with no success (I enter the command "sudo apt-get install gdebi"  (Lucid) before to start the "Automated installation").

    This is informations you ask for :

    * Creating /var/log/airtime
    * Creating /var/tmp/airtime
    * Waiting for media-monitor processes to start...
    Starting Airtime Media Monitor: Done.
    * Detecting OS: ...  Found Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS (lucid) on amd64 architecture
    * Clearing previous pypo cache
    * Waiting for pypo processes to start...
    Stopping daemon monitor: monit.
    Starting daemon monitor: monit.

    good information

    you have a problem of name resolution :)
  • It could be !

    My new discussion seems to make sens with this. Would you please have a look and tell me if you can see where I may go wrong (maybe with hostnames...).
