    Hi

    send yours logs from /var/log/airtime
  • I seem to be getting connection errors.
    http://pastebin.com/c0KCpZLS (media-monitor.log)
    http://pastebin.com/1JvfsHr4 (pypo/liquidsoap.log)

From those logs, it seems to be a DB connection problem?
The zPanel software is using MySQL and does not have PSQL used.

    you have two problems :

1 - dns resolution, the name given to  airtime is not good
    2 - postgresql is installed ?

    after correcting this, try :

    dpkg-reconfigure airtime
  • I can connect to airtime fine, I don't think it's DNS resolution :S
upon typing 'psql' it displays the following message: psql: FATAL:  role "root" does not exist

1 - When I'm talking about dns resolution it is rather at the server level

/etc/hosts and /etc/apache2/../airtime-vhost are they on the same line ?

for example : airtime.yourradio.com defined into the two files ?

2 - execute these as the postgres user:
    su - postgres
One option is to create a super-user with something like:
    postgres$ createuser -d -a -P airtime

    then:

    airtime$ createdb ibmadb

then do administrative things with that user.

  • In regards to the DNS system, I'm using Cloudflare as a DNS server and I have routed the necessary domain/subdomain names to the server. I have edited the v-host (apache/zpanel) to take control of the url.
I can access the airtime control panel fine, it just doesn't want to connect to rabbitmq or the media resources.

"createuser: creation of new role failed: ERROR:  role "airtime" already exists"

if you using zpanel on your server (where airtime is installed) the problem is "normal"
zpanel overpass the standard apache configuration you must reconfigure airtime to working with it and permit filesystem access to your airtime web instance into zpanel
  • I have run airtime as root, configured the zPanel apache file so that airtime is accessible. I just don't know what the failed errors are :S
  • Make sure you look into /etc/airtime/api_client.cfg

and ensure your host and port name are correct.
