Can't install. - Airtime Support Discussions on Sourcefabric Forum

I get to this point in the install process but can't find airtime itself. Just the meta data. I tried the terminal method. No luck there either.

Install Airtime

Once the installation of airtime-easy-setup has completed, you can install the latest Airtime package on a desktop system using your usual package manager, such as Ubuntu Software Center, or Synaptic on Debian.

It's like airtime is not actually available.

After you setup airtime-easy-setup, I believe you simply type

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install airtime

The reason for the easy-setup package is to prepare your system to download from Sourcefabric's servers as opposed to Ubuntu's servers.

Thanx, that is what I meant by tried the Terminal method.

I guess I should have pasted this too,

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package airtime

That is what I get when I try to do what you recommended.

What's the output of

sudo dpkg -l | grep airtime

?

Please post the contents of /etc/apt/sources.list.

You should see a reference to "sourcefabric" in there.

E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Please download and install this package:

http://en.flossmanuals.net/airtime-en-2-0/easy-setup/

It will setup your /etc/apt/sources.list for you automatically :)
