Congratulations for your software! I'm the music programmer of an online music radio and I have been testing Airtime recently but since 80% of our content is programmed music, I can't really use your software because it doesn't allow category-based playlist building.
We have all our tracks arranged per style / age and we build our 24h music selection by mixing randomly the tracks following a sequence of categories.
At the moment we do it through SPIP and Liquidsoap but the programming interface we built is very user-unfriendly so I'm looking at improving our setup.
I was just wondering if you knew of a free/open linux source software which could help us do this job or if Airtime had any plan to implement this feature.
Thanks!

The I believe the feature you are talking about is Smart Playlists. We are in the final stages of releasing Airtime 2.1, and will being work on 2.2 soon. We do not have a final feature list defined yet for 2.2, but this Smart Playlist feature is very high on our priority list, and has a good chance of being included in 2.2.
I will make an announcement on the forums here when we finally have our final feature list for 2.2 so please stay tuned.
