Booktype Internal Server Error
  • I've just successfully installed a local instance of Booktype, but am getting the following error when I try to sign in: Any ideas?

    Chrome error:
    1. POST http://127.0.0.1:8000/accounts/signin/ 500 (INTERNAL SERVER ERROR)
    2. jQuery.extend.ajaxjquery-1.4.4.js:6054
    3. jQuery.extend.postjquery-1.4.4.js:5721
    4. methodsSignin.initgeneral.js:46
    5. jQuery.event.handlejquery-1.4.4.js:2260
    6. jQuery.event.add.elemData.handle.eventHandlejquery-1.4.4.js:1891
2event.layerX and event.layerY are broken and deprecated in WebKit. They will be removed from the engine in the near future.

    Terminal:
    [08/May/2012 12:15:20] "POST /accounts/signin/ HTTP/1.1" 200 13
    [08/May/2012 12:15:26] "POST /accounts/signin/ HTTP/1.1" 500 79756

Any ideas as to what may be causing this?

can you check permissions for all folders?

    adam
  • Update: I could create a new account using a different e-mail address, that worked fine and I can log in with said account. It wouldn't let me sign in using my admin accout name & password - perhaps that's to be expected? (i.e. perhaps it was just an unexpected use case error on my part?)

Which folders should I check permissions for? (Booktype cloned repo stuff, or var/www/... ?)
