It would be useful to have the total number of imported tracks displayed somewhere (perhaps on the "ADD MEDIA" page).

I have been told to provide a figure every now and then to the powers that be and having it listed in Airtime would be ideal.

In fact, when importing media, it would be useful to be able to tag media as being a music track, or an interview so that we can then choose search options to find the specific type of media we require.

this is really not a priority ...

a lot of thing must be more polished before that :
- live stream
- scheduled live stream
- import/export playlit
- import/export database from web interface
- media monitor would be more polished too : an ' in a song name break it :(

etc.

If you look in the Playlist Builder, you can see the total number of tracks.

Ah, I see:

"Showing 1 to 10 of 6,170 entries"

Although, this does show both tracks and playlists in one count doesn't it?

It would be good to have the option to show "Just tracks", "Just playlists" and "Both tracks & playlists"

I've re-tested placing an ' in the file name and the metadata and it seems to be working fine.

How exactly does it break media monitor?

that's exactly what I say
when a file with a ' is imported (by ftp) into a watched directory media-monitor crash
for example :

It's my name.mp3

crash the media monitor whit an error (I give it you later, when I can connect to my server)
but I try a several times on different machines
And always the same result
and it's a typical error of programming without escape specials characters ;)

Hey this is a good idea, and I was actually just thinking about doing this today. A lot of work has gone into the library table for version 2.1, it would be great to include this as an option.
