Airtime 2.0 is now certified ready for action! The team's very proud of it and we hope that it will bring a lot to your stations and broadcasts.
Thanks once more for all your input, feedback and support over the past weeks and months. Airtime is still not actually 12 months old yet and it's come on a long way with the help of each and every downloader, tester and community member.
On Ubuntu 10.04.3 x64. I've done apt-get update, upgrade. And enabled partner repo + backports. Its a fresh install. Plus:
W: GPG error: http://apt.sourcefabric.org lucid Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 0888FE5B174C1854
I corrected the entry i /etc/apt/sources.d.list/ from "squeeze" to "lucid" :)
Because you are running Lucid, you need to have a newer version of python-virtualenv than Lucid shipped with, which is available in the apt.sourcefabric.org repository. You have found a chicken-and-egg bug in the airtime-easy-setup package, so thanks for reporting that :-)
The GPG error is because you don't have the Sourcefabric keyring installed. The solution to both problems is to do:
This should install python-virtualenv 1.4.8, then airtime 2.0.0.
Please let us know how you get on. The reason you had to manually fix the entry in sources.list.d was a consequence of the airtime-easy-setup package failing, which I will post a fixed package for shortly.
This bug only affected Ubuntu Lucid servers that did not have a previous installation of Airtime, in which case they had python-virtualenv 1.4.5 instead of the required 1.4.8 or later.
Thanks Daniel. Have fun everyone, thanks for your help. I'm checking out for the evening here in Berlin but I'm sure Toronto will give help if you need anything further. Till tomorrow... :)
Thanks for the update - and yes youre right, its a chicken-and-the-egg problem :)
Your update is working beautifully. Thank you for the fast feedback. Ill keep you in the loop in case of problems. I guess I should use your forum for further feedback/questions/possible bug questions.
