Hi, I´m using airtime 1.9.5, and everything is working, but how can i share my radio streaming...i`m the only one who can listen :-) with shoucast server i can share.

127.0.0.1 is an address that points back to your computer. Every computer that goes to that address automatically try to connect to itself.

What you need to do is find your external IP address. You can check this by connecting to a website on the internet which will tell you what IP address they see you coming from. Try this site: http://www.whatismyip.com/

No you don't have to change the config files. If it's not working then tell us if you are behind a router.

ok usually Airtime is run on servers that have a direct connection to the internet (not behind a router). It is still simple to get it running if it's behind a router but you need to google

router model name + " port forwarding".

You need to forward port 8000 from your router to your computer.

I should point out that this is not a Airtime limitation. Your router is blocking anyone from connecting to your computer as a security feature. You need to explicitly tell it to let traffic for some appllcations (icecast uses port 8000 so you need to open that port) through.

Ok so now you are kind of allowing requests to icecast through, good job.

But I see something missing in that screenshot.

Let's assume you have 5 computers behind your router, all with icecast running on port 8000. A request for port 8000 comes to your router, which computer is your router going to forward that request to? You need to specify the internal ip address (should be similar to something like 192.168.1.x) of which computer the router needs to forward those external port 8000 requests to. There should be an option to specify that somewhere in the screenshot you sent.

BTW if you are sending your friends the 127.0.0.1 address then this is wrong. 127.0.0.1 tells your browser to connect to the local machine.

It works for you because you have icecast on your computer. It won't work for other because they don't have icecast on their own machine...and even if they did have it installed, it would play whatever their icecast was programmed to play by their copy of Airtime (or any other radio station software). You need to find your internet address, and send that link along.

192.168.1.70 my IP adress. So streaming audio out 192.168.1.70:8000?

Yes that's your machines IP address. But only other computers behind your router can connect to that address.

Find your routers address using whatismyip.com. Lets assume that it is 72.86.112.36. Your URL will be http://72.86.112.36:8000. Any request made to that will hit your router. Now you need a rule in your router saying any request to port 8000 is forwarded to 192.185.1.70:8000
