As $Subject said, if so, then I'm going to help working on this, but I
need people like mentor(s) to make this work right.
And for now, I'm trying to install Airtime 1.9.0 (RC3) on openSUSE
11.4[0], but can not get these packages (on Open Build Service):[1]
libsoundtouch-ocaml
libvorbis-ocaml-dev
libtaglib-ocaml
libao-ocaml
libmad-ocaml
libcamomile-ocaml-dev
Even i can not find those source codes. Where should I go to get them
and i can then manually compile and install these dependencies.
If it succeed, then I'm good enough to give an Airtime Workshop in my
town (Bandung, Indonesia) in the middle of September 2011, and maybe
Sourcefabric can also send us some marketing materials (maybe
stickers, etc.) for the audiences.
That would be cool right? and the 1.9 release will be great for me too! =)
Hi Andi, in theory you can install Airtime on any standard LAMP distribution, but so far this theory has not been tested other than on Debian or Ubuntu. You can find the sources for those ocaml packages in Debian; you may find the table at http://qa.debian.org/developer.php?login=debian-ocaml-maint% 40lists.debian.org helpful.
I would suggest that it's worth persevering with trying to install on SuSE if you are intending to maintain packages for that distro. If it's just to take a look at the software, I would suggest using the demo sites such as http://airtime-demo.sourcefabric.org/ (stable version) and http://airtime-dev.sourcefabric.org/ (development version) instead.
For a workshop, it might be quicker to install Ubuntu LTS because the manual http://en.flossmanuals.net/airtime/ is written with that distro in mind. Please let us know if you need a translation of the manual into a local language.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll ask other questions related to this
OCaml modules later.

Cool, how to provide the Airtime manual into Bahasa Indonesia (ID)?
