what is the best way to specify the canonical tag in Newscoop?

right now i added this:

<link rel="canonical" href="http://{{ $campsite->publication->site }}{{ uri }}" />

but i am not sure that's the best way to list unique URLs for an article.

You should use {{ url options="article" }} for article URLs.
