Sorry to disapoint you. It is possible to remove it from the cronjob,
but not on shared environment, because it would remove the job from all
instances.

minutes. It checks all subscriptions and those users, that are 14 days
before expiration are notified.
Than the user is marked up as "already notified" and next run it he is
skipped.

I am unsure if there is some 2nd level notification in 7 days prior
expiration.

You may want to set "paid days" = "days" from the beginning; this feature was
implemented with the idea that you can create an inactive subscription which is
not paid yet and after the payment was received you can activate it (set the
paid days to the subscription time). If paid days = 0 then the reader will not
have access to private content. The reader actually has access to the private
content for the period: start date -> start date + paid days.

No, it doesn't need to decrement paid days because it knows:
1. the subscription end date: start date + paid days
2. the current date
When the current date > end date the subscription is over. Paid days is not the
same as days left from the subscription.

It's not documented yet and we will change this system in time, it's 7 years
old and it shows it's limitations.
