Hours of airtime vs number of flights
  • Hello all,

I’d like to hear your opinion:
What is more important in PG flying:
Hours of airtime or number of flights?
Last fall I was at Point of the Mountain (Utah) getting my rating and I was asked, how many flights I had so far. I didn’t keep track of each sled run, but I knew my logged airtime and XC miles. I learned that each top landing counts as a one flight, so every morning on the south side POM I scored between 15 – 20 top landings in 3 hours of ridge soaring.
Is it right to count flights, not airtime ?

    Thanks
