Tutorial how to make Debian Wheezy php 5.5 work with airtime 2.5.2.1
  • Hello,

Can someone please post a tutorial how to make Debian Wheezy php 5.5 work with airtime 2.5.2.1?  or at least 2.5.1?  php 5.4 is starting to be too large of a security risk.

    Thank you.

Actually, 5.6.  Security is ending for 5.5 in only 3 months.

  • What /exactly/ are your security issues with php 5.4/5.6?

If there is something the larger community should know about, please let us know, otherwise i personally (a bit of a novice, admittedly) am not aware of a groundbreaking php exploit.
  • I'm using airtime 2.5.1 on wheezy with php 5.5.37. The only problem I ran into was php-apc dependency. I needed to change this to php5-apcu. I can post a tutorial to get a new "private" .deb package for this, but I first ask if someone is able to say if there is a plan to create an updated .deb in the repository?
  • Don't think APC is critical at all, is it? It was only added to help nudge Airtime along on an original single core Raspberry.
