Been following the manual trying to setup newscoop but getting errors on when trying to publish. Can you put me right on this and tell what I am doing wrong.
What type is your test article? Please be aware that there are 3 article
types in the sample templates and each have different structure (field
names)
- link
- news
- page
Please make sure your test article was of type "news" - see also
"Configure->Article types" in the Newscoop admin menu.
These errors basically say that the article you created does not have these
fields.
That may be the problem then as the article type I created was feature_article in an empty newscoop. So if an empty newsscoop that has no article types set up do they still have to be link, news, and page? Right I'm going to follow the journal that has articles if the same happens then I'm the swannie and need help!
I'll let you know how I get on.
Ok what does this one mean? I've copied al the sample site types all three of them, made an article in news and getting the above error which needs expalining to me because I do not know what it means in an newscoop context.
I've created a second publication in the sample journal site, on locahost.
Name: The money Chronical
Alias: moneychronicle
How do I get to preview or view this publication?
The preview button on the articles takes me to a virgin search page!
Journal address is: http://localhost/journal
what would the address of the second publication be?
Just an idea but, you made quite a detailed video of the install process why not make one on how to get your first publication up and running. I would do it my self, if I could actually get this thing to work (more me than the app or help I'm receiving). My credentials on making videos: http://dai-videotutes.blogspot.com/
