Reboot requirement on installation - Airtime Development Discussions on Sourcefabric Forum

Hi devs,

I need to figure out exactly why the server needs to be rebooted after
installing Airtime, for the documentation/packaging. It looks like it
has to do with the non-standard way that the liquidsoap binary is
installed - is that correct?

Hi Daniel, this is correct.

Daemontools does not properly initialize without a reboot. I have this as a ticket for the 1.7 release.

I wonder if there is a quick fix for this, or will we have to wait for Canonical to repackage a patched version. Either way, my ticket for this problem has been moved back to a later release, so I won't be looking into this too deeply anytime soon.
