Again, regarding palettes. Not a big fan, as I said before, but one big
advantage I can see is a possible multimonitor use of Campcaster. Some
people will be able to afford that and it is probably easier to use all
that real estate with the palettes.
But I think there is a consensus that we can live with the palettes if CC
remembers concrete user's preferences regarding the positioning of the
windows. And Ferenc, is there some "snap" feature in the GTK windowing
thingy?

Hi Robert -
Thanks for the very detailed feedback, this is what I was hoping for
when I wrote the original email. Its extremely helpful because I didnt
know your point of view on most of these aspects. (For example, I
thought that you were in favor of the multi-window setup...because why
would the design team make many little windows when the customer wanted
a single window?) It seems you have been sharing your point of view for
a while, but it was never recorded anywhere for us new people to look
at. Because of this, I have copied your comments into the wiki page on
this topic:

Yes, I didnt expect that all of my ideas would be correct...I have only
recently joined the project and dont know why a lot of things were done.
I just noticed that Campcaster was quite difficult for me to use, so I
figured out which actions I really wanted to accomplish when using it,
and designed an interface around that. Since I am not a DJ, its likely
that some of my assumptions may not be correct. I just wanted to get
some feedback on those ideas.

Usually you use multiple monitors for multiple applications, not one
application on multiple monitors. Multiple monitors allow you to see
and use multiple applications at once.
i actually really like the palettes. photoshop, gimp, winamp. and given
the fact that visiting independent radio stations on a low budget made me
see more than one *winamp* station, i guess it is an easy transition

Well, not necessarily. Usually, using that configuration, toolbars are
positioned on one monitor and "main area" is maximized on the second monitor
(for example, in GIMP or some other graphic software; but the same could be
applied to CC).
