[campcaster-support] Fw: Problem during setup
  • Hi,

    Can someone please help with this user's question? As I recall, there was
    a problem with Darkice streams dropping out from time to time, but this is
    something I personally have not had experience with.

    Subject: Problem during setup

    Hello,

    somebody who's working with me on www.spin-waves.com is trying to install
    campcaster station's latest version, unfortunately he has a problem, no
    log error but music isn't streaming although winamp can log on icecast...
    if somebody can help... the installation is done on a server wich has no
    soundcard, we emulate one with jackit, plugged into darkice wich sends
    sound to icecast that streams the music out.

    Thank you for helping, we really count on this software.

    Scott.

  • Hi,

    I do not know it's for production or are you able to let us test it with
    beta software? I have done some search and it got to work with our new
    0.10 version directly to icecast while processing one of these line's.

    Here you will find two scenarios using a Gstreamer 2 shoutcast &
    icecast element.

    internally:
    gst-launch-0.10 filesrc location=our-media-file.mp3 ! decodebin !
    audioconvert ! audioresample ! shout2send ip=server-ip port=8000
    password=something mount=/whatever.mp3

    externally:
    gst-launch-0.10 alsasrc device=plughw:0,0 ! audioconvert ! lame !
    shout2send ip=server-ip port=8000 password=something
    mount=/whatever.mp3

    These a ogg for externally avail as well.

    Please let us know ...

    For now thanks in advance.
